Marketing Background – Katja von Schweitzer
Katja is an experienced, creative Marketer with over ten years experience in B2B and B2C on both agency and client-side. She has a proven track record in brand management, has developed strategic and integrated marketing programmes, managed day to day sales and marketing activity and has strong project management and marketing communications knowledge gained within a wide range of industries.
Possessing both excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, Katja enjoys providing strategic input into projects from concept to implementation and ultimately evaluating the results against objectives and budget.
Katja has been responsible for producing an extensive range of marketing and publicity materials throughout her career, ranging from catalogues, magazines, brochures, sales presenters, give-aways, exhibition stands, press packs, direct mailers, etc… Whilst working client-side this has involved the commissioning, management and direction of creative agencies where relevant. However, she has also used her own skills and experience gained from working agency-side where necessary, in order to deliver projects within tight budgets.
Katja has delivered a number of successful press, radio and online advertising campaigns within a range of budgets and industries. She also has a thorough understanding of the internet, and its importance within communication and promotion, and has been directly involved in the development and promotion of effective websites. She project managed the development of websites ranging from and including Go (former airline), Holiday Autos, Loans.co.uk, TK Maxx, Portsmouth City Council’s tourism website to St Mary’s Hall. Today Katja also manages her clients social media activities.
Highly analytical and research literate, Katja has conducted and commissioned a range of qualitative and quantitative research including focus groups for new websites, customer telephone interviews and written questionnaires.
